The
REACT 350 WZ System features “smart plastic” cylinders
made of high molecular weight, high-density polyethylene (HMW/HDPE)
plastic. When impacted within the design capacity specified in NCHRP
350, they typically regain up to 90% of their original shape and
capacity without maintenance or repair of major components. The
REACT 350 WZ System is easy to deploy, experienced contractors can
install a TL-3 System in one hour. In fact, some contractors move
their REACT 350 WZ Systems up to three times per week in fast progressing
work zones.
NCHRP 350
-
Non-gating, redirective crash cushion system for work zones
- Performs effectively with design speeds up to 100 km/h (62 mph)
- Meets TL-1 (50 km/h / 30 mph), TL-2 (70 km/h / 43 mph) and TL-3
(100 km / h / 62 mph)
Head-On Impacts
During head-on impacts, the REACT 350 Workzone crushes the reusable
cylinders to absorb the energy of impact.
Redirective Capability
When impacted from the side, the REACT 350 Workzone redirects
the errant vehicle back toward its original travel path without
allowing gating.
Self Restoring
The REACT 350 Workzone will self-restore after most design impacts,
typically regaining up to 99% of their original shape and capacity
without maintenance or repair of major components.
Superior Design
Sectional design consists of energy-absorbing, reusable, "smart
plastic" (HMW/HDPE) cylinders attached to a self-contained
backup, or to a new or existing concrete-mounted backup system.
Simple Installation
Installs as a single unit with minor assembly and can be moved as
one when the project is completed. It can support widths as narrow
as 910 mm (36 inches).
Narrow Widths for Work Zones
REACT 350 Workzone can support widths as narrow as 910 mm (36 inches).
